Projects

Where ideas take shape.

Teaching and curiosity can lead in unexpected directions: a collaborative project supporting those grieving the loss of a companion animal and tools created for the classroom, including a veterinary communication board game. Each began with an idea—and the possibility of turning it into something that could make a difference.

CREATIVE ENDEAVOR

In Their Paws

Created in partnership with colleague and friend Teresa Graham Brett.

Veterinary teams care for patients from birth to death, and for the people who love them. In Their Paws brings greater thoughtfulness to the moments surrounding loss and to the relationships that sustain veterinary medicine—with empathy cards for supporting grieving clients and “Just Because” cards for colleagues supporting one another.

Clinic Misadventures

Created in partnership with Teresa Graham Brett and Eric Beasley.

An experiential board game that brings veterinary communication practice to life. Learners navigate a companion animal clinic while working through realistic scenarios that challenge them to apply clinical knowledge, communicate with clients and colleagues, and discover that there may be more than one thoughtful way forward.

“Curiosity transforms ideas into being. It builds bridges between people where none existed before—all because someone cared enough to wonder.”
